I’m excited to share some great news: in my very first participation in the International Photography Awards (IPA) 2025, three of the four pictures/series I submitted made it into the official final selection. The IPA is considered one of the five most prestigious photography competitions in the world, which makes this recognition even more special to me.
Legal note about the category: I entered as a professional because the IPA defines professionals as those who “sell or publish their work regularly.” I don’t sell but do publish my work, whether through contests or as prints, so I fit their definition. That said, photography has always been my passion, not a source of income, and in other competitions I’ve always competed as an amateur.
